Wardens - The Wardens along with the Rector make up the Executive Committee for the Church.
Vestry - The Vestry is made up of 9 parishioners elected for 3-year terms. The Vestry, in accordance with the Rector, Warden and Assistant Warden, provide leadership to the Church.
Church Committees
Buildings & Grounds This group oversees the upkeep of the church buildings and grounds.
Finance This committee meets regularly to monitor the financial status of the parish. An annual report on church finances is assembled and presented at the Parish Annual Meeting in January.
House Control This ad hoc committee reports to the Finance Committee and is in charge of rentals of Sherlock Hall, Witherington Hall, and classrooms.
Memorial This committee oversees the Memorial Garden and any named memorial gifts to the fund.
Parish Life This group sponsors events throughout the year to bring our parish together. Social activities include weekly coffee hours and family oriented activities including an Easter Egg Hunt, Apple Picking Excursions, Game Nights and picnics.
Stewardship This committee encourages parishioners to share god-given gifts for the benefit of the parish, in time, talent and treasure. Examples include pledge drives, an annual Thankfulness meal in October, and follow up with new members.
Church Groups
Christian Education Classes for ages 4-14 are held each Sunday, September-May, beginning at 9:45 am. The children and teachers join the 10:00 am service during the offering hymn and the Eucharist. We offer Holy Communion and Confirmation classes. Adult education classes are held during Lent. A Womens Bible Study group meets on Thursday at 9:45 am, reflecting and discussing the Gospels.
Episcopal Churchwomen (ECW) Every woman in the parish is automatically a member of the ECW and is welcome to meetings and activities throughout the year. The ECW holds periodic pot-luck dinners to discuss and plan upcoming events such as the annual Rummage Sale in the spring. They also make hand-crafted items for the annual Christmas Bazaar, and assist in the set up for the annual High Tea and other events.
Acolytes Acolytes assist the Rector in the celebration of the Eucharist at both Sunday services, in addition to other special services throughout the year.
Altar Guild Currently 11 women serve on the guild. They prepare the altar for each service and manage the altar materials.
Flower Guild This group attends to the flowers used in the beautification in the church throughout the year.
Adult Choir The adult choir has 19 members who sing weekly at the 10:00AM service. The choir also contributes to the annual concert series. They rehearse each Thursday evening starting at 8:00PM, September-June.
Childrens Choir All children in grades 3-8 are welcome to sing as part of the Childrens choir. They sing regularly during the 10:00AM service and rehearse at 4:00PM on Mondays, September-June.
Handbell Choir This group currently has 8 members and performs during worship service at various times throughout the year. The ability to read music is not necessary. The choir rehearses for one hour starting at 7:00PM, each Thursday evening, September through June.
Lectors/Lay Eucharist Ministers There are 18 parishioners who serve as lay readers, who read the lessons and prayers of the people during both services. Eucharistic Ministers assist the Rector during services and make home visits to administer the Sacraments.
Ushers Teams of ushers rotate as official greeters, assisting with the collection of the offering and ushering at the time of Holy Communion. There are 10 parishioners serving as ushers.
