About Us

Trinity Episcopal Church of Cranford has 132 years of history and a future of faith.

Trinity is located on the corner of North Avenue (NJ State Highway 28 west) and Forest Avenue in Cranford, approximately 1 mile west of exit 137 off the Garden State Parkway. As part of the Diocese of New Jersey, we serve the community within and around Cranford area.

Regular worship includes a Rite I service at 8:00 AM and a Rite II service at 10:00 AM. Rite I is more traditional in its use of old English, while the Rite II service includes choir music and is consider more contemporary. During July and August, one Sunday service is held at 9:00 AM. In July, Rite I is celebrated. In August, Rite II is offered. In addition, a healing service is held every Wednesday morning at 9:00 AM.

Christian Education at Trinity includes Sunday school for ages 4 though 14 and is offered September through May. Classes begin at 9:45 AM in the Kiamie Education Building next to the church. Children and teachers join the 10:00 service in time for the Eucharist.

Parish activities include Coffee Hour immediately after the 10:00 service provides Fellowship time for all. Various Feast days are celebrated throughout the year (Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, etc.) The Parish Life Committee sponsors secular activities for children and adults such as the Easter Egg Hunt on Palm Sunday, a Game Night in January. Besides our strong music program supporting worship, our music ministry includes events like the Strawberry Festival and Concert Series throughout the year.

The church facilities are used by various non-profit organizations including many 12 step programs. Sherlock Hall is rented out for private wedding receptions, baptism parties, retirement dinners, and other events.
